During your office visit or consult our staff will review your past medical and surgical history, family history, medications, and drug allergies. It is always advisable to bring an updated summary of these items to your office visit. Please inform us of any recent blood tests or x-ray tests that were done.
Non-emergency questions will be answered within 24 hours. Emergency calls will be answered promptly. If you have a serious emergency, then you should go immediately to your nearest hospital emergency room or call 911.
Non-medical phone calls received after the office closes will be forwarded to the our answering service, and we will contact you the following business day. The answering service will contact the physician on call after office hours for emergency medical questions.
Requests for medication refills will only be accepted during office hours, and prescriptions will be filled within 24 hours. No medication refills will be available after office hours or through our answering service. The physician on call after hours will not refill medications.
Many of our tests require insurance pre-certification, and our office staff will contact your insurance company to pre-certify any test we schedule. You need to bring your current insurance plan information to every visit to our office.
Our physicians participate in most insurance plans including Medicare, and our staff will submit our bill to your insurance company for you. However, your responsibility for payment of our fee is not dependent on decisions by your insurance company. You are responsible for any unpaid balance not covered by your insurance company. Any insurance copay and unpaid balance are due prior to seeing the physician on the day of your appointment. Please talk with our business office if you need a payment plan or other financial consideration.
